SARASOTA-MANATEE (WSNN) – Three different COVID-19 stories with one message.

“This is definitely not a hoax. I’m a 44-year-old otherwise very healthy person running five-times a week,” Bradenton resident, Robyn Faucy-Washington, said. “This stopped me completely dead in my tracks.”

“I couldn’t smell anything, I couldn’t taste anything, and I was just extremely exhausted all the time,” 31-year-old from Sarasota, Maria Osorio, said.

“I’m not joking when I say I may have slept like 90-percent of the day for like two-and-a-half days straight,” 28-year-old from Tampa, Jamie Onufrak, said.

“COVID manifests in each person differently, it’s not a one size fits all,” Faucy-Washington said.

“It was basically a really bad flu, with more breathing difficulty,” Onufrak said.

“This, I felt perfectly fine, I still felt pretty active, but when I would sleep, I would notice that I was sleeping a lot longer than normal,” Osorio said.

“I’ve had the flu, this is not the flu,” Faucy-Washington said. “There was a two week period where I had the body aches the low-grade fevers, the head pain. And it was severe, it was very bad.”

“I did take Tylenol, and yea I did quarantine two weeks after symptoms went away,” Onufrak said.

“I did try to up my eating intake,” Osorio said. “Eat more spinach, more greens I guess that I was trying to consume.”

“This (pointing at spirometer) was to keep my lungs, open up my lungs and do lung exercises, so I can at least have an idea of what my lung capacity is,” Faucy-Washington said. “Ask questions of your healthcare provider, I was just given an inhaler on Friday.”

“Do everything just to maintain yourself healthy on the inside,” Osorio said. “Because, no matter what, you cannot just be away from germs.”

“Keep others in mind,” Onufrak said. “Even if you’re not at risk, keep people who are in mind.”

“So, I encourage people to look out for one another, and wear your masks,” Faucy-Washington said. “This virus is not just about having the virus and getting over it. There could be long-term implications. I know I would not wish this on anyone.”

So much of COVID 19 remains mysterious and is ever-changing.
