SARASOTA (WSNN) – The Suncoast holds pre-celebrations of Thanksgiving at Temple Emanu-El.

Families gather in Sarasota on Shabbat to get in the season of gratitude.

Members sang, played, and talked about what they were grateful for.

Gift bags filled with Fall festivities were handed out.

They toasted to each other with their kiddush cups.

“It’s so special to us to be able to come together to come together as a community, spend it as a family, definitely around Thanksgiving, and just be so appreciative for what we have in our lives, our health, family, and being able to gather together as a community,” Temple Emanuel-El Member Nicole Silverstein said.

Temple Emanu-El also opened their playground on Saturday for the first time since they closed in March.

Parents say it was nice to have a place for their children to play again.
