LOS ANGELES (SNN-TV) – The Rams had a 14-7 lead against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early in the third quarter when they faced third-and-10 at the LA 25.

Rams head coach Sean McVay called for a pass to DeSean Jackson on a go route. Jackson ran by cornerback Carlton Davis III, caught it at the Buccaneers 30 and then zig-zagged his way for the final 10 yards and into the tunnel. The play would be the defining moment in the Rams’ 34-24 victory over the defending Super Bowl champions.

Both Quarterbacks tallied mind-boggling numbers, Los Angeles’ Matthew Stafford passed for 343 yards and four touchdowns, while Brady albeit in a losing effort, completed 41 of 55 passes for 432 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was a rushing TD by Brady.

Despite the offense’s adequate performance, Bruce Arians cites the defense as most of the issue. “We got to do a better job of getting some man-to-man pressures and going in there and getting after the Quarterback. Also, when we’re playing zone we got to get home. The secondary and the front, just not right now, meshing very well.”

The Buccaneers look to bounce back fast after the loss, as the headline this week is Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski’s return to Foxborough. As the Bucs take on the New England Patriots in Week 4 on Sunday Night Football.
