PALMETTO (SNN-TV) – The Tigers of Palmetto shined bright this morning, as 6 of their football stars signed letters of intent.

Dave Marino’s bunch found success this season, with players like FAU commit, linebacker Jaylen Wester and Northwest Missouri State commit, receiver Duke Timmons leading the charge on each side of the ball.

While the recent loss of loved ones made today bittersweet, both Wester and Timmons are excited for the next chapter.

“With losing my grandma it’s a bit of a bittersweet moment, because she couldn’t be here to experience the moment. It’s always a good experience to make my mom and dad proud. I think that was a good accomplishment, going on to the next level and be productive in my life.” – Jaylen Wester

“It’s a bittersweet moment losing loved ones and still accomplishing what I can accomplish. It’s a great feeling.” – Duke Timmons

Along with Timmons and Wester, their teammates Eric Brust (Stetson), KyJuan Smith (East Central Mississippi Community College), James Simmons (Keiser), and Alzavien Houston (Seton Hill) signed their NLI’s today as well.
